CLASS DESCRIPTIONS
- Ballet
- The "backbone" to all dance forms, ballet develops natural coordination and graceful movement while concentrating on the technical aspects of core strength, balance and performing skills. Our instructors at Center Stage know how to turn this difficult yet basic genre into a fun loving, rewarding class with our age appropriate syllabus, music and innate passion for encouragement. A different focus for exercise and cross training students and adults or a relaxation focus that shuts out the busy schedules - there are lots of good reasons to add ballet to your schedule!
- Tap
- Make some noise for this high energy dance style. Learn the technical skills needed to make crisp sounds and fun dances. Get a full body workout from the toes up and the coordination one can only dream of. "I've got rhythm, I've got music...who could ask for anything more?"
- Tappin' Tots
- A super fun class combining various forms of dance (ballet, tap and jazz) and a little bit of singing too!
- Jazz
- Hone in on your technique in a fun atmosphere with jazz. A little ballet, a little funk and a lot of fun. This form of dance helps to build technique, emphasize performance skills and develop style.
- Combo
- A class for our younger dancers to learn the basics of a couple of dance styles, Tap/Ballet, Tap/Jazz, etc.
- Now We Are 3
- Our littlest dancers learn the very beginnings of Ballet.
- Lyrical
- Lyrical, often referred to as Contemporary, brings the best of ballet and jazz together into a style where performance quality is enhanced through music. Lyrical not only requires, but also builds on technique, and all levels can experience the benefits of lyrical.
- Modern
- Modern dance at Center Stage fuses training in choreography and improvisation with technical aspects from modern dance pioneers including Martha Graham, Lester Horton, and Katherine Dunham. Through modern, dancers explore movement from which emotions, messages, stories, and themes are conveyed.
- Stretch and Technique
- Flexibility will take your dance ability to the next level and can even make daily activities seem effortless. This class builds strength through stretching by combining philosophies and movement from Pilates, yoga and ballet. No experience needed.
- Compani
- Geared to the committed student who is looking for more than the weekly dance class. We currently offer Ballet, Jazz and Tap Compani's. Click on our "Compani" link for more information.

- Hip Hop
- Hip Hop is the free-est of all dance forms where the rules are made to be broken. Unwind from a hard day with this lively dance style sure to get your heart pumping and your body jumping.
- Breakin'
- Want to learn moves like "freezes", "top-rock", "up-rock", "6-step", "poppin & lockin"? Join our Breakin' class. A perfect experience for you child to boost their confidence and increase self discipline. Dancers will learn basic stretches, endurance exercises, how to "fall out of a move", history of Breakin' and learn why it's called "Breakin'".
- Polynesian
- Learning the dances is just the beginning of this class where it's all about culture. Learn history, language, customs and music of the islands.
- Celtic
- An introductory, non-competitive class in the study of Celtic dance. The class includes Irish step-dance as well as Scottish Highland. History of the dances are taught to the students to help them understand the meaning of each of the dances.
- Ballroom
- 4 week classes for ages PreTeen and up. Learn the East Coast Swing, Foxtrot, Cha Cha and more.
- Social Dance/Ballroom
- Enjoy an evening out learning how to Waltz, Tango, Foxtrot and more! Singles or Couples welcome.
