Aloha! My name is Kehau, and I come to you from the island of Oahu "the gathering place" of Hawaii. I have been dancing Hula long before I can remember, which is not unusual for an island girl brought up in the old ways. Most of my Ohana (family) are active in promoting the music and dance of our culture... it is the way of life for us. Instruction began with my Kupunas (elders). They are the ones who instilled in me not only the physical dance but the spiritual and cultural aspect as well. For many years as a young Haumana (student), I danced for a hui (group) under Kumu Hula (teacher of hula) N. Kuni, of Waialua. Later graduating to instruction under my aunt, Kumu Hula Janet Ililo of Haleiwa. I later joined local performing Halaus (schools) at the Polynesian Cultural Center, Waimea Falls, Paradise Cove and Tavana' s. I have lived in the El Dorado Hills area for some time now and at present am dancing with some of the local groups here in Sacramento. I have appeared on television, radio as well as numerous performances throughout the Valley. Until recently I was a haumana under Kumu Hula, Halau Hula Ohana I Ka Lei Lokalia of Shingle Springs. I felt the desire to impart my love for Hula to those who want to learn it through teaching. Mahalo nui ba!

Q went on to compete locally and nationally, in such competitions as Broadway Magic, and Headliners. He and his team went on to compete in the International Hip-Hop Competition in Bremen, Germany in 2003. Aside from choreographing for various singing and dance groups in the bay, Q introduces hip-hop movement to all ages from five through adult. He specializes in pinpointing such basics as: spatial awareness, isolations, strength, balance, groove, and technique, as well as some of the popular commercial dances, both new and old school!
